Hawaii State Federal Credit Union’s field of membership is open to
those who have the following common bond:
1. Employees of the State of Hawaii;
2. Employees of the City and County of Honolulu, Maui
County, Kauai County, and Hawaii
County;
3. Employees of the Hawaii State Federal Credit Union;
4. Spouses of persons who died while within the field of
membership;
5. Persons who retired as pensioners and/or annuitants from the
above employment; and
6. Immediate family and household members of all persons listed,
and organizations of such persons.
The chart below shows how members or persons within Hawaii State
Federal Credit Union's field of membership may qualify others
for membership with Hawaii State Federal Credit Union.
Also, household members, or persons living
in the same residence with persons who are in Hawaii State
Federal Credit Union's field of membership, are eligible to join
the credit union. This applies to persons who are permanent
members of and who participate in the maintenance of the
household as a single economic unit. For instance, two people
sharing an apartment would be considered a household
(Fraternities or sororities are excluded; Only individual
residences qualify). In addition, family or household members
are eligible for membership even if the qualifying member has
not yet joined.
