Hawaii State FCU Scholarship Program
The Hawaii State FCU Scholarship Program was established in 1996 with the goal of helping members improve their lives through the pursuit of a higher education. Over the program’s history, over $449,000 has been awarded to some of Hawaii’s best and brightest students.
Any Hawaii State FCU member or their dependent seeking a post-high school education can apply. Scholarship recipients are selected based on financial need, academic merit and extra-curricular activities. There are five applicant categories: Incoming Freshmen, Traditional Students (sophomores, juniors and seniors), Graduate School Students, Trade or Vocational Students and Returning Students (adults returning to school after a break of 5+ years). Each scholarship is in the amount of $2,000 and there are a total of 15 scholarships awarded annually.
HSFCU proudly announces the start of the scholarship application season for the 2014/2015 school year. Scholarship applications will be accepted January 2, 2014 through March 31, 2014. Each applicant must complete and submit the official Hawaii State Federal Credit Union application form along with their most recent official transcripts, two letters of recommendation, a personal essay, a student aid report and a list of your personal achievements and community service.
